Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer. 

 

The City of Plainville is accepting applications for a Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer.

 

This position investigates and ensures compliance with local codes and ordinances related to zoning, land use, building regulations, and other public safety matters. The position conduct inspections, investigate complaints, issue citations, and provide information to the public. The position enforces local and state laws regarding animal care and welfare. Duties include responding to complaints about animals, capturing stray animals, investigating animal cruelty and neglect, animal registration enforcement and educating the public about animal care and local regulations. Must have good report writing and record keeping skills as well as the ability to communicate well with the public. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Kansas driver's license or ability to obtain one.  The City of Plainville provides an excellent benefit package that includes KPERS Retirement, BCBS Health insurance and provides a take home Code Enforcement Vehicle.  The City of Plainville is an EOE.  Salary negotiable depending on qualifications.

School Crossing Guard

 

The City of Plainville is accepting applications for the Public School Crossing Guard.

Full Time Police Officer, Plainville Police Department

 The Plainville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of a Full-Time Police Officer. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License. Applicant must not have any Felony or Serious Misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must have good communication and writing skills, be able to interact with the public in a positive way and be able to perform all duties that are required for the position. Applicant must complete and pass a pre-employment written test, background investigation, medical exam and psychological test. Salary depending on qualifications. The Plainville Police Department runs 12 hour shifts, with every other weekend off. Take home vehicle and all duty equipment, including uniforms are provided.
