The City of Plainville is taking applications for Lifeguards for the 2024 Pool Season. Please pick up applications at the City Office, Plainville High School or you can print from our website at www.plainvilleks.com. Applications are due back to the City Office no later than April 19th. Applicants must be 15 years of age before May 4th and also be able to attend the Mandatory training for first year and recertification on May 4th.






Full Time Police Officer, Plainville Police Department

The Plainville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of a Full-Time Police Officer. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License. Applicant must not have any Felony or Serious Misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must have good communication and writing skills, be able to interact with the public in a positive way and be able to perform all duties that are required for the position. Applicant must complete and pass a pre-employment written test, background investigation, medical exam and psychological test. Salary depending on qualifications. The Plainville Police Department runs 12 hour shifts, with every other weekend off. Take home vehicle and all duty equipment, including uniforms are provided.
